Where everything lives

Two homes: the workbook holds the numbers, the app is where you work on them. The tabs along the bottom, the buttons along the top, and the app's sidebar, item by item.

5 min Habits Basics

Your workbook may look different. If there is no brown band of buttons along the top, use the Money Mastery menu in the menu bar above your workbook. The names are a little different there: Categorize is Categorize Transactions, Reports is Clarity AI & Reports, Dashboard is Open Dashboard, and Start Here is Getting Started.

Hi, and welcome. Today a map. Two homes, the workbook and the app, and what lives in each, so you always know where to go.

Open your workbook from the hub. Along the bottom are the tabs. Click along them once: Setup. Income Labels. Expense Labels. Your account tabs, one per account, named as you named them. Then the tabs that draw themselves: Dashboard, Monthly Overview, Yearly Overview, Needs and Desires, Bill Tracking, Savings.

Along the top, the row of buttons on the brown band. Each one opens a screen of the app in a new browser tab, and the workbook stays where it is.

Click Dashboard: the app's own one-page view. Click Categorize: the window where you label. Click Upload: the same window opened on the upload. Click Reports: the Reports window. Click Ask Clarity: your questions. Click Settings: your name, currency and dates. Click HELP: the library.

Inside the app, the same list runs down the left as a sidebar: Dashboard, Catego.

The rule for where to go. To see a number, the workbook's tabs. To change a label, bring in a file, ask a question or send a report, the app.

Lost. Click HELP. The library opens, with a search box, and the answer is two clicks away.

Two homes. The workbook holds the numbers. The app is where you work on them. Type in the workbook; label, upload, ask and report in the app. Once that is clear, nothing is lost.

Every app screen has the same sidebar, so wherever you are, Categorize is one click away, and the window remembers the account and the filter you were on.

Tabs along the bottom for the numbers, buttons along the top for the work. See you next time.
