Questions
The things women ask us first
Grouped rather than listed, so you can find the one you came for. If yours is not here, ask us and we will answer it properly.
Before you start
Do I have to connect my bank?
No, and you cannot, because it was not built that way on purpose. You download your own statement and upload the file. There is no bank login to share, nothing to connect, and nothing you would have to remember to revoke later.
Some women tell us this is the reason they finally started.
What file types can I upload?
CSV, PDF or Excel, from Chase, Amex, Capital One, Bank of America, Citi, Citizens, Discover, Square or anywhere else. The system works out which column is the date and which is the amount, and checks the signs against your running balance so a credit card refund does not land as a purchase.
I am not a spreadsheet person. Is this going to be too much?
The parts you type into are coloured. Everything else calculates itself and is meant to be left alone. There is a written guide for every screen, a video walkthrough for each workbook, and a support button inside the sheet itself.
And every week Donna is live in the Collective for The Money Hour, where you can ask the question you did not want to type.
How long does the first setup take?
The free tracker takes about ten minutes: open it, type today’s balance into one account, close it. That already counts as a month of tracking.
The full system takes longer to set up once, and the point of doing it properly the first time is that the monthly pass afterwards is short.
The free tier
Is La Soglia really free?
Yes, and it stays free. No card, and no trial that quietly ends. La Soglia is Italian for the threshold, which is the idea: it is a complete tool that happens to cost nothing, not a preview of something better.
What happens to my free tracker if I upgrade?
It stays exactly where it is, in your own Google Drive, under your own account. Upgrading adds the rest of the system beside it. If you ever step back down to La Soglia, the tracker is still yours.
What is in the free tracker?
Personal and business net worth in one place, assets against liabilities, Build Your Own Portfolio tracked by ticker, custom views by month, quarter or year, and a projection timeline. Plus the Collective discussion feed and the daily blog.
Membership
Can I move between tiers?
Yes, in either direction, at any time. Your accounts, your categories and everything you have already categorized stay exactly as you left them.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time. What you have categorized stays where it is, and the free tracker remains in your Drive.
What is the difference between Rise and Rise Together?
The software is identical. Rise is the full system and the room. Rise Together adds Donna to your calendar: the Monthly Money Reset Call, Office Hours on a topic members vote for, the weekly strategy post and the biweekly clips.
If you have tried this alone before and it slipped, the missing piece was probably not a better spreadsheet.
What is Rise Beyond, honestly?
It is for the woman who does not need more software. Twenty four coaching calls a year, a private channel with Donna, and a quarterly sitting down with your actual numbers.
It does not unlock features the other tiers lack. Every workbook and every report is already in Rise at $49.99. What you are paying for is Donna’s time, which is the only genuinely limited thing on the page. Seats are limited and Donna speaks with each woman before she joins, because it does not work otherwise.
Is yearly cheaper?
Yes. A yearly membership is billed once for twelve months and gives you roughly two months back against paying monthly.
Your data
Who else can see my numbers?
Only the people you invite. Your workbook lives in your own Google Drive, under your own account.
Guest access and report sharing are two separate doors, so you can hand your accountant a Profit and Loss without handing over the whole file. Access can be removed whenever you want.
Can my accountant get in?
Yes. Invite a spouse, a bookkeeper, an assistant or your accountant with their own structured access and their own login. You choose whether they get a report or the workbook.
What keeps it mine?
One PIN across the sheet and the web dashboard, a login code sent to your email, and a reset you can do yourself. Copy protection watches for duplicates being made of your file, and it backs your data up before it acts on anything.
Using it
I have a business and a personal life on one card. Does that break it?
That is the case the system was built around. Tag a transaction as business or personal, or split a single purchase between the two, and it moves to the right book on its own. Both sides keep a record of the move, so nothing is quietly rewritten.
What is Clarity AI?
Ask a plain question about your money in your own words and get an answer with your real figures attached, and the transactions it used to get there shown underneath. There is a weekly insight waiting for you, and reports you can build and email without exporting anything.
La Soglia includes a set number of Clarity questions each month. Every paid tier is without a count.
Do I have to use all five workbooks?
No. Every paid tier carries all five, and most women start with one and grow into the rest. They work the same way, which is why the second one you open takes a fraction of the time the first one did.
What if something goes wrong?
There is a support button inside the sheet itself, and a written guide for every screen. You can also email [email protected], or ask in the Collective, where somebody has usually hit the same thing.
The free tier answers most of it.
La Soglia costs nothing and stays free. Ten minutes with your own numbers tells you more than any answer on this page can.
