Label many rows at once
The fastest way to label a batch of identical rows, and how to use it safely: cluster, tick, Apply to Selected, confirm.
Your workbook may look different. If there is no brown band of buttons along the top, use the Money Mastery menu in the menu bar above your workbook. The names are a little different there: Categorize is Categorize Transactions, Reports is Clarity AI & Reports, Dashboard is Open Dashboard, and Start Here is Getting Started.

Welcome back. Today bulk apply, the fastest way to label a batch of identical rows, and how to use it safely.
First, bring the rows that belong together next to each other. Click the search box and type the merchant, Payroll. Only the payroll rows stay.
Look down the list. Are they really all the same thing. Twelve paychecks, yes.
Click the checkbox on the left of each one; a tick appears. Or click Select All at the top of the list to tick every row showing.
Click Apply to Selected at the top. A small panel opens over the list.
In the panel, click the label box and choose Salary. Click Need or Desire if it is spending. Type a memo if you want the same note on all of them.
Click Apply to All. The panel closes and a message at the top of the window says how many rows changed. Twelve rows updated. The footer says Saved.
Click Clear next to the search box and every row comes back, the twelve now labe.
Bulk apply after recognition, not before it. It is the fastest way to label ten rows and the easiest way to make ten mistakes. Check that the rows really are the same thing first.
Apply to Selected sets the need or desire and the memo at the same time as the label, so a year of gym rows gets Gym, Desire and the memo in one click.
Cluster, tick, apply, confirm. Ten rows in ten seconds, correctly. See you next time.
