Feature, Account Upload
Drop in your statements. Let Clarity do the heavy lifting.
Upload a CSV, PDF or Excel statement from any bank or credit card, and Money Mastery reads every transaction and hands it to you in a table to check. Once the rows are in, Clarity suggests a category for each one based on the choices you have made before, and nothing lands in your books until you sign off.
- Works with any bank or credit card
- AI first pass, you make every final call
- An editable review screen for you to approve or make changes
Included in every paid membership
This is in Rise, at $49.99 a month, and in everything above it. The higher memberships do not unlock more of the system, they add Donna’s time.
In this walkthrough you are seeing the account upload screen inside Money Mastery: choosing the account, adding a statement, and checking every transaction in an editable preview before it is added to your sheet. Nothing is applied until you confirm it, because the system is built around your final say over every line in your books.

Bookkeeping becomes a review and approval of work that is already done.
- Export your statement from your bankDownload a CSV, Excel or PDF statement from your bank or credit card account. Most financial institutions have an export option in the transaction history view, and Money Mastery accepts all three formats.
- Upload into your account tabOpen Categorize Transactions from the Money Mastery menu, and the upload sits inside that window. Choose the account the statement belongs to, and add the file. Each bank account and credit card has its own tab, business checking, personal checking, business card, personal card, so nothing gets mixed up.
- Clarity suggests a category for every rowMoney Mastery remembers how you categorize, so your past choices come back as suggestions on similar transactions, and the suggestions get sharper as you categorize more. A recurring vendor you have categorized before arrives with its suggestion already in place.
- You review, adjust, and approveNothing is finalized automatically. Every suggestion waits for your review. Change a category, split a transaction, add a memo, or bulk-apply a group of similar rows. When everything looks right, approve, and your books update immediately.
A deliberate upload and review, built around your judgment.
Money Mastery is intentionally designed without a bank connection. You download your statement and upload it yourself, so your bank credentials stay outside the system. Every row then passes in front of you before it becomes part of your numbers, because clarity about your money comes from seeing it.
You see every decision
Every suggestion is shown to you for review before it becomes part of your books, so you always know why a transaction carries the category it does, and the final call on every row is yours.
Remembers how you categorize
Money Mastery remembers how you categorize your own vendors and regular expenses, so your past choices come back as suggestions on similar transactions, and the suggestions get sharper as you categorize more.
Every upload clearly marked
Each upload is added below the rows already in the account, with the first and last rows of the new batch highlighted, so you can see exactly what came in.
Built for real-world account complexity.
Multiple accounts, one place
Set up separate tabs for every bank account and credit card, business and personal, and upload each independently. The system tracks which transactions belong where.
CSV, PDF or Excel, from any bank
The upload accepts CSV, PDF and Excel statements from your bank or credit card provider. Money Mastery is intentionally designed without a bank connection. You download your statement and upload it yourself, so your bank credentials stay outside the system.
Override anything before it applies
The review step gives you real control over every row. Change a category, split a charge between business and personal, add a memo for your accountant, or leave a row uncategorized until you are ready to decide.
Here’s what you may want to know
What file types can I upload?
Money Mastery accepts CSV, PDF, and Excel statement uploads. Download the statement from your bank or credit card provider, then upload it into Money Mastery for review before adding the transactions to your digital workbook.
What if the AI categorizes something wrong?
Change it. The review step exists exactly for this reason. Click the suggested category, pick the correct one, and move on. Money Mastery also remembers your corrections, so the next time a similar transaction arrives, your choice comes back as the suggestion.
Can I upload both business and personal statements?
Yes. Each account tab is independent. You set up a tab for your business checking, another for your personal checking, another for your business credit card, and so on. Each statement uploads into its own tab and is categorized in context.
What happens if I upload the same month twice?
You can catch it on the review screen before anything is saved. Every transaction from the file is shown there for you to check against your statement, and a doubled line can be removed with one click. Each upload is also added below your existing rows with its first and last rows highlighted, so you can always see exactly which block came in.
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. Money Mastery is intentionally designed without a bank connection. You download your statement and upload it yourself, so your bank credentials stay outside the system.
Account upload is included in every paid Money Mastery membership.
